SBB

On the tracks to Zermatt. We've been passing the time a few ways.

We had a close-ish game of scrabble until Marissa dropped a few 40+ point word combos on me.

We downed our lunch we bought from what's become our official store, Coop.

Also, just staring out the window near Thun was quite wonderful. It's all new to me and everything looks beautiful. Especially Marissa.

Jet lag is still nagging us a little bit (but it looks like Marissa is struggling more than me right now :))

At Visp we changed trains. We are now onto the last third our train journey today. The narrow gauge from Visp to Zermatt. We can already see the Alps towering over us.

This part of the ride is starting to feel like traveling in Switzerland. Little chalets dot the landscape. Rivers and waterfalls run along side the tracks. The Matterhorn comes closer with every turn.  There is a group of 4 older people sitting next to us speaking entirely in German (maybe Swiss-German, I'm not sure).

I'm still waiting to see a Yeti on this ride. I expect the good folks at Disney knew what they were doing when they made the Matterhorn ride back home. It's a documentary ride right? Educational? We shall see.

Only two stops to go until Zermatt now. On the right, a real Swiss Alpine waterfall!

It's a gorgeous day here. Just gorgeous.
